Well, we heard birds all the time. Seeing them etc proved to be very hard. But on our way out we saw four Black-headed Grosbeak males traveling the area. At this point I'd pulled off the teleconverter & was at 300mm which was far too short for these little birds. I had no time to add the TC so.....
