I've now & then seen what looks like a gigantic sparrow, but then I found this bird for the first time in our garden & in locating that it's a male Red-winged Blackbird I now realize it's his mate I've seen every now & then. The male gave me an opportunity to photograph him & was rather tolerant in my attempt. It's hard to photograph a black bird with full sun & shadows from the tree & occasional clouds "playing" here & there over it's body......
