Nikon ED AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm VR f/3.5-5.6 G

In my search for a "perfect" travel lens I'm testing out three (to start with) lenses. First two being added today. I'm testing the highly spoken of 18-200VR from Nikon against the 24-120VR also from Nikon. Build-wise I prefer the 24-120VR over the 18-200VR. But I see the logic in the reach of the 18-200VR for travel convenience. I also prefer that the 24-120VR is not a DX lens, but for now that's really not an issue as I have no FX (full Frame) camera. The lens is to be used for when I have friends visiting & when we travel. At such times we all need something easy to work with. We're starting with the 18-200VR.Test is executed on a locked down tripod, with the camera in Mup (Mirror Up) on a remote. ISO is set at 100 & it's shot in A (Aperture) mode set to f/9 (as I know these two lenses prefer to be in between f/8-f/13). Shot jpg Fine no pp only in camera sharpening.
