Oh I know - - Not all that colorful, but stay together for life & territorial - - and still worthy of some shots. Need confirmation that this is what it is. Tamron seems to focus fast (kind of) on the D300 - - or it's the 300mm f/4 +TC 17E II that's slow to focus - - I don't know. The lighter spot on the tail feathers/back is an OOF (out of focus) Nectarine flower in our Nectarine tree. I will be out to get better shots of this bird as I get a chance.
