After many years of P&S photography I'm going back to one of my great loves - Photography.
This is a web site which will hopefully show my progression & give me a chance to share it with family & friends.
I bought my first camera, for my own won money, at the age of 9. It was a Kodak Instamatic. The large problem with that was that I had no money for extra film & getting the film developed, so I had to rely on my father's generosity which didn't always understand photos of our dogs & apples from our garden. Ah well... such is life. ;-)
My first real camera, by which I mean slr camera, was bought after I sold my beloved horse Sabotage in 1980. I had to have something to do after that. It was a Nikon FM. I loved that camera. My last film camera, before I bought the D200, was an N50 which I'd not touched for years. I'm still shooting Nikon, but today I'm the proud owner of a D300, a Nikon N90s film camera & the amazing D700. The D300 is my primary camera, but the D700 is getting more & more work. I have just added a D70 to my arsenal of cameras. It has been Infrared converted & will only be used for Infrared (IR) photography.
I try to capture "Moments In Nature" - much to remind us all of the beauty we have around us & have to protect.
I'm just someone who, in her old age, is trying to follow a Dream....... I shoot what matters to me. What's in my heart. What warms my heart. I try to catch "moments" which matter to me. Kind of like my riding of my horses.... I look for "moments" & try to grow from them.
I have just finished my first self published book. It's called "Moments In Nature - Birds, Squirrels & Flowers. The book contains a selection of my photographs from this site.
However, individual prints of my photographs can easily be ordered & printed through Zenfolio's system & sent straight to you. So if you find one you like..... Please feel free to order it & enjoy it on your wall.
Welcome & this place is updated continuously - - so please feel free to come back...

Mamma
